Monday Night Recap!

Last night was all about 8+ fun, teamwork, and trying something new!

A big thank you to Emily and Coach Marsha for coxing. It was Marsha’s very first time at the helm - and she loved it!

Our newcomers did a fantastic job under Coach Matt’s guidance, building confidence and putting their skills to work in the big boat.

Emily not only coxed but called all the drills and provided us with feedback.

It was another great night of learning, laughing, and rowing together. Every practice makes us stronger - both on and off the water.

Congratulations to HERon Thames on your victory in today’s final! Well deserved! Thank you Survivor Rowing Network for this amazing opportunity! While only one crew crosses the finish line first, every woman here is already a winner. We are all survivors, and simply being here is a testament to our strength, resilience, and determination.
Events like this celebrate so much more than racing. They highlight our commitment to overcoming physical challenges, supporting one another, and proving that a cancer diagnosis does not define what we are capable of.

Every stroke is a victory. Every finish line crossed is a reminder of how far we’ve come.

Row strong. Live boldly. Together, we rise.

Henley Masters Regatta Recap 🇬🇧
So proud of all three Whitemarsh survivor boats!

Yesterday morning, our Women’s Quad rowed hard and powerful closing the gap in the race to a boat length.
In the evening, the men’s quad delivered a blistering race, falling just short at the finish line.
And, today the women’s 4+ put everything into the race leaving it all on the course.

All racers determination, teamwork, and heart were on full display. They raced with grit, power , and unwavering trust in one another, showing exactly what these crews are made is of.

Representing Whitemarsh and WeCanRow on the Henley course is an incredible accomplishment. Months of early mornings, long practices, and countless miles on the water led to this moment. Every stroke reflected the dedication, resilience, and friendship that define this team.
To all of our survivor athletes—thank you for inspiring us. You embraced the challenge, supported one another, and represented our club and survivor community with pride. We couldn’t be more proud of all you accomplished.
💙🤍 Congratulations to every rower, coxswain, coach, and supporter who made this unforgettable Henley experience possible. Safe travels home!

Diamond States 2026 — A Jewel of a Day! 💎

Fantastic day on the water with sunny skies, perfect weather, and plenty of fun! The Survivor 8+ brought the energy, teamwork, and spirit that make this crew so special. It was great to have WCR DC join us, along with Julie and the Wilmington quad, making the day even more memorable with friends from the survivor rowing community. 💗

Congratulations to Ines and Emily on racing a pair for the first time! The “pair” extraordinaire!👏 Way to step outside your comfort zone, push yourselves, put in the hard work, show up, and execute!

Kudos to the Henley quad and 4+ for going out there and bringing it every time! 👏 Both crews have been training hard, and we can’t wait to see them in London! 🇬🇧

ALL of our racers today rowed hard, and brought their best! Congrats to all!
👏💪

There is a place in WCR for everyone -whether it’s exhibition racing, masters racing, or simply challenging yourself on the water. We celebrate every accomplishment and continue to support and cheer for one another. That shared commitment, encouragement, and friendship are what bond us together for life. 💗💪
