Be patient in ALL things. If it's meant to be, it will. If God has something for you, He won't let you miss it. Measure His Will to you desire by pushing things back. If it's God's Will for you to have something, He will keep it before you as a gift because it would mean so much to God for you to have it.
The nature of evil is to distract, misguide, and keep you off track. The evil one is running out of time to divert you so if it's just a distraction from the true path, it will fade in the attempt to try something different before you reach full velocity.
