We are looking for a certified teacher at The Woodlands Micro School. MUST BE CERTIFIED. Must understand the challenges of education and must agree with our philosophy at TWMS. Due to the experience and certifications of our current teachers, this individual could be certified in any of the four main subject areas. This position will be teaching at the 8th-12th grade level. Our 7th and 8th grade students created solar ovens during science class today. Now they are eagerly awaiting their s’mores to finish cooking so they can see if the ovens work.

The Woodlands Micro School has been such a blessing to our family!
One school doesn’t fit all when it comes to educational needs. We had some changes after Public Elementary to Private school. This transition worked out great for a while but after several years, there were reasons that my daughters longed for a change. Unfortunately, the switch back to a public HS wasn’t what we had anticipated. After giving this a couple of years, it was clear that my daughters were experiencing social anxiety & the overall lack of concern by the HS was shocking. Thankfully, we heard a friend’s story that had transferred to The Woodlands Micro School, and we decided to interview with them. I can honestly say, it was the best decision our family made! They truly care about all their students & reassure them that they will go on to do amazing things. It’s such a safe & nurturing environment for students to attend. We have a daughter who graduated last year & a Senior this year!

Testimony Tuesday – Everitt Pye

Everitt has been a student at The Woodlands Microschool for the past year. The experience has had such a positive impact on Everitt and consequently our family. Overall, the experience has far exceeded our expectations.

Prior to TWMS, Everitt’s academic journey had been riddled with challenges, difficulty and stress. We are forever grateful to have found TWMS and this very special group of people who have helped Everitt regain his confidence, self-esteem and love of learning. It’s been nothing short of awesome!

Everitt truly loves going to school now, which is a complete 180 from where we were. He admires and enjoys his teachers and the material that he’s learning. He has made friends at school and hangs out with them outside of school, too.

The teacher support, respect and care is genuine. Communication between the faculty/teachers and parents is fantastic as well. We truly can’t say enough good things about TWMS and their approach to

education. We feel incredibly lucky to have found such a special place for our son to call his school home. It is our sincere wish the all families could experience a school like this one.

It is hard to believe we have already made it to 2022. We are very excited about the upcoming Spring Semester. We are also excited to begin enrollment for the 2022-2023 school year. Enrollment for the next school year will open to the public on February 10th.

Some exciting changes are in store for the coming school year. The first change is that we will now be offering 2nd and 3rd grade.

Micro School: Where Passion Meets Education Building a community of lifelong learners!

Looking for a certified Art Teacher. Will be working with Jr High and High School students. Ideal candidate will have experience teaching art and be able to plan and execute art projects independently.

Individual must be able to tutor students in Algebra 1, Geometry, and Algebra 2. Must work independently and be willing to take initiative to meet the needs of the students assigned to them.

The Woodlands Micro School has a homestead program. The students are learning to take care of chickens, ducks, and maintain a garden.

Today was coop cleaning day and our freshman and sophomore classes got to roll up their sleeves and get down to work.

9 and 10 year olds shouldn’t be expected to sit still for hours at a time. Our math kids put their math into action and move around the room to solve some practice math problems.

Fridays are for fun at The Woodlands Micro School. We cook, we do art projects, we play outside, and we play games. Social interaction with peers is a crucial part to a students development and one that we take into consideration for all of our students.

Come learn Physics with us at The Woodlands Micro School. All classes are taught hands on with daily labs. We won’t make it boring.

The Woodlands Micro School is now offering individual classes for
homeschool students. Our current class offerings are:

Classes meet one hour a day, four days a week. All classes are taught hands on with no computer work involved.

Summer camp week one was a huge success. Our campers learned how to draw dragons, made 3D word art, made friendship bracelets, had a water bottle flipping contest, did some cooking, had a water balloon fight, worked in our community garden, played with our chickens and ducks, and so much more.
