Yesterday, in Principles of Food we completed day #2 of our protein structures food science lab. Students learned the difference between a globular and denatured protein by making homemade marshmallows from gelatin.

Today we had our 2nd Children’s Literacy Lesson (again by LaiAnna Loucks)! The book was “A Bad Case of the Stripes.” Pictured below are Makenna Leis making her “Striped Self Portrait” (art activity) as well as everyone’s finished product hung on the refrigerator doors, Destiny Soden showing off her fruit-striped graham cracker (healthy snack), and our classs t-chart about the terms internal and external (literacy lesson).
