YVHS 83

Thank you YVHS Class of 83 and beyond for showing up for the Retro Reunion 2 in Walnut Creek. A small affair, but fun! Was great getting a chance to hang with the class. Special thanks to Mister John Underwood(Class of 84) for coming out and taking pics. You are the bomb!! I hope to keep this tradition alive but have to reassess the direction and how to get alumni off their butt for some fun! Have a great summer!

Host-Class of 83 Retro Reunion 2

OK folks, getting Rocco's Pizza and Pasta with salad for the Retro Reunion 2. I have attached a parking lot diagram to help with ease of parking. Please enter through the front door and check in for name badge.
Itinerary is as follows:
1:00pm doors open - Talk, mingle and drink
1:30pm - Food arrives
2:00pm - Announcements and montage videos
2:30pm - Dance and maybe some karaoke
3:00pm - Get a group shot
3:30pm - More drink and dance
Event ends at 6pm, although we can do whatever.
Heads up, the bands for that night roll in around 5pm to set up, but I think we will be rapping up by then.

Retro Reunion 2 is just 6 days away! Food is being ordered and name tags created. Will have a couple cool montages of years past. Come enjoy the day of fun with fellow classmates.

June 15th 1pm-6pm at Retro Ju**ie in Walnut Creek. Cost is $50 which covers catered food and entrance to this bash.
Take the plunge and get your tickets now. The event will center around drinking, dancing and some cool photos montages of past and present. I take Venmo, Zelle and checks. On a quick note the beer garden outside has been closed due to the end of the Covid rebound program. We will be inside. The place is giant and 40 or so folks will have ample space to have fun.

I am tempted to pull out the karaoke machine??? What ya think?

With the 2nd Retro Reunion coming up on June 15th 1pm-6pm at Retro Ju**ie in Walnut Creek. I have 22 committed and about 15 fence sitters, but yet to commit with ticket purchases. Cost is $50 which covers catered food and entrance to this bash.

Good bye Mr. Greenwood. A favorite of mine at YV back in 1980-1983. He gave me a shot in the dark to play outfield my sophomore year.
When the infield was packed with talent I asked to play outfield and Wes put extra time into hitting me mile high fly balls in the green fields
of Ygnacio Valley. I only wish I could have kept my commitment to Baseball. The British Wave of metal tool over my life and I started hitting Def Leppard, Saxon, Judas Priest and other concerts. I lost my drive and didn’t get along with the head coach of Varsity causing my departure from YV baseball. But Metal Matt was born and that story took many turns years later.
