What happens when you’ve changed, but the people who love you still see the old version of you?

In this episode, we’re talking about the awkwardness of outgrowing who everyone remembers. Maybe you’re more confident, successful, outspoken, or even a little fancier now. ¿Y qué?

Do the people who love us really give us permission to evolve, or do they sometimes keep us attached to an identity that no longer fits? We’re talking family, growth, changing identities, and owning who you are now.

I’m a Fall baby (Coach Cecy) and this time of year I get more energy to cook more elaborate meals. It’s also a time when I look forward to our family traditions. It’s a busy season for me, but I’m very intentional about how I spent my time.

Here are a few things that have brought a smile to my face as of late:

1. Pumpkin Spice and Fall smells. 🎃
2. My new running/walking shoes 👟
3. My crewneck volleyball sweater that reads “YOU JUST GOT SERVED!” (get it? 😆 👩🏻‍⚖️)
4. Yummy heirloom tomatoes on arugula salads

Why put off for tomorrow what you can do today?

My momma loved reminding me of this growing up. Now she’s turned 85 (happy bday momma) and I wonder if she thinks about all she did, all she didn’t do, and all that’s yet to come ♥️ I am praying hard she’s got a few more decades to squeeze it all in.
