Former Buckeye creates high school mentorship program

The ACE Program takes a unique approach to mentoring high school freshmen by focusing on coaching, life skills and building and maintaining relationships. The group recently met with members of the Ohio State University Men's Basketball team and chatted about everything from dunking to the importance of education and working hard. This summer youth initiative is one of many programs the City has invested in to help our children develop life-long skills in a safe environment. The ACE Summer Program is an extension of the sponsored initiative at Independence High School on the city’s far east side. The program provides youth and families with an all day enrichment camp for students ages 5-12!
