Dear Parents and Guardians:

We would like to inform you that, beginning this Wednesday, classes will start at 7:45 a.m. Students must arrive at school between 7:30 and 7:45 a.m.

There will be enough buses at the border to transport all students in one trip. Breakfast will be served from 7:45 to 8:00 a.m.

Dismissal time will also change to 2:45 p.m., following the same transportation procedures. The buses will arrive at the border checkpoint at approximately 3:00 p.m.

Exception for fourth grade: During this week, fourth-grade students will continue to arrive at the border checkpoint at approximately 3:30 p.m.

Please make the necessary arrangements to ensure that a responsible adult is at the border checkpoint on time to receive your child.

Les informamos que, a partir de este miércoles, las clases comenzarán a las 7:45 a. m. Los estudiantes deberán llegar a la escuela entre las 7:30 y las 7:45 a. m.

Habrá suficientes camiones en la frontera para transportar a los estudiantes en un solo viaje. El desayuno se servirá de 7:45 a 8:00 a. m.

📢Columbus Elementary Announces Early Release Due to Water Line Break

During regularly scheduled water line maintenance in the Village of Columbus, a water line broke, leaving Columbus Elementary without water service.

Due to the disruption, Columbus Elementary will release students early today, Tuesday, August 11, at 12:15 p.m. All students will be served lunch before dismissal.

Students who normally ride the bus will be transported to their regular bus stops beginning at 12:15 p.m. Parents and guardians may also pick up their students from the school beginning at 12:15 p.m.

These programs provide students with engaging activities, academic support, fun, and a safe place to learn and grow after the school day. They also help students build confidence, inspire creativity, and stay connected with their school community.

📅 Programs begin Monday, August 10, at:

All other NMSU After School Programs are expected to begin Monday, August 17.
