And a special congratulations to Alexandra Szynal, recipient of the Maggie Evans Memorial Scholarship.

GHMCEF is proud to provide grants to school and community programs that bridge the gap between the classroom and the modern workforce. We hope the community will come out on May 7 to hear Tim Harman, Senior Consultant at the Workforce Innovation Center, and a panel of experts, discuss how AI, emerging trends, and an agile mindset are shaping the world our students will enter.
🐾 All Grandview Heights Schools families and students are invited to attend this new series focused on helping students become future-ready! 🐾

🎒✨ We are thrilled to announce that the Foundation is funding essential school supplies for all 1,147 students in the Grandview Heights Schools district for the 2026–2027 academic year.
Next year brings big changes with our elementary students moving to modular classrooms during major capital improvements in our district. To support our families during this transition, we’re taking school supply shopping off your to-do list entirely.
✔️ No Store Runs: We’re buying in bulk and delivering directly to classrooms.
✔️ Ready to Learn: Students just need to show up on day one.
✔️ Community Powered: This is possible thanks to our generous community, including everyone who supported The Grand Event this year!
We’re also looking into shared resources for high schoolers (like calculators and lab equipment)—stay tuned!

The Foundation is proud to have recently provided a grant to bring Tim Harmon to speak with Grandview Heights Schools K-12 faculty and staff. Tim helps schools bridge the gap between the classroom and the rapidly changing global workforce, bringing a wealth of experience from his work with the Ohio Governor's Office and the Columbus Partnership.
Moving beyond the "college or else" mindset of the past, he brought insights to help our schools:
✅ Align our curriculum with real-world industry demands.
✅ Connect student attributes and personalized learning into one unified vision.
✅ Ensure every student has a pathway to meaningful success after graduation.
The feedback from our staff and administrators has been fantastic, and we are just getting started! Stay tuned for upcoming opportunities for parents and students to engage in these vital conversations.

Last week, the Foundation supported our first Mentor Round Table with the sophomore class, and the energy in the room was incredible. From lively discussions to meaningful career insights, our students walked away with more than just advice (and lunch)—they left with guidance and ideas for what's next as they shape their future plans.
Huge thank you to our local mentors and career professionals who volunteered their time to invest in the next generation of Bobcats.

Break a leg to the incredible cast and crew of The Little Mermaid as they take the stage this weekend! 🎭✨
We are so proud of these talented students for their hard work and vision. This year, the Education Foundation was proud to support a special student-requested grant to fund the rental of nearly 100 costumes, bringing the magic of the ocean floor to life right here in our community.
Providing these costumes is just one of the many ways we strive to support our youth and foster creativity in our schools. We can’t wait to see you all shine under the sea! 🧜♀️🦀 To learn more and purchase your tickets before they sell out, visit: https://bit.ly/4rVocEn
