Courage in his decisions.
Patience in difficult times.
Respect in his words.

I will never be poor.

I carry hope like it's my greatest treasure. The harder life gets, the more valuable it becomes.

When grief comes, its worth grows. When anxiety shows up, its worth grows. When people leave, its worth grows.

Because I know the true value of having something no one can ever take away from me.

And I'll always have enough hope to share with others.

What I've learned is this:

You don't heal by going out and getting drunk to forget.
You don't heal by chasing meaningless connections.

You heal on the nights you lie alone with your thoughts.
On weekends when you have no plans.
On solo drives with the music turned up, singing because no one is listening.

You heal through the tears, the tough mornings, and the sleepless nights.
By facing the pain instead of running from it.
By doing the hard work.

That's the only way.

I deserve to be happy.
I deserve to love myself a little more.
