We are the champions my friends! Congratulations to Charlie’s team for winning the 4th grade basketball 🏀 tournament, going undefeated. This picture shows them with their championship rings. What I’m most happy about was that there were 9 teams and 38 players in this tournament. The kids were first challenged with creating the McVay rules for basketball and that video will be posted in the comments. Be sure to watch it. Great job to all the 4th graders this tournament!

Congratulations to our Girls on the Run with their race day this morning! Coach Smart, Long, Messina, and Wiseman rocked it out with McVay girls on the runs 5k this morning.

4th grade.
Football tournament ended today with an epic battle. We didn’t get any pictures, sorry about that, but I was proud of each of them. Over this week they worked hard, learned how to lose, learned how to win, learned to include everyone (shout out to you especially Team Cap Carson), learned that big feelings are okay, learned that rules & expectations actually make things more fun. I was 1 championship ring short for the winning Team Cap but he learned a little about leadership there - and I was especially proud of how he handled that. I learned that overnight shipping for failing to have enough rings is expensive. Well done 4th grade 👏.
