Saying goodbye to the 5th graders and celebrating the beautiful adventures waiting ahead for them ✨

This last week was filled with fun, learning, determination, and unforgettable memories — from participating in the Pentathlon, traveling to Ann Arbor, winning for grace and beauty in long jump and discus throw, to being a part of such a big and loving community.

It all meant so much 🤍 Here’s to courage, friendship, and new beginnings ahead.

In a world where childhood is hurried and driven by technology, The Juniper School stands as a rare sanctuary — a place where every child is seen and cherished—where their young lives can unfold at their own natural pace. Here, the innate goodness of children isn’t just believed in, it’s protected. Through creative play, imagination, daily rhythms, beauty, and kindness, Juniper gives children the gift of wonder-filled days and the steady foundation to grow into strong, resilient, empathetic human beings.

Behind the scenes, the Juniper School Model of Care ensures that everyone who carries this mission — teachers, administrators, board members, parents, and the wider community — is healthy, supported, and able to give their best. But a school built on whole-child values also needs whole-school stability.

✨ The Spiral Walk ✨

As the year turns and the days grow shortest, we gather in quiet reverence to celebrate the return of light. 🌲🕯️ The Spiral Walk honors the winter solstice—the darkest time of the year—and gently reminds us that light is never lost; it lives within each of us.

A single candle glows at the center of the spiral. One by one, each child walks the path inward, pauses to light their candle, and places it along the way—until the once-dark spiral begins to shine with many small flames.

Found throughout nature, the spiral reflects both the seasonal rhythm of the year and our own inner journey—moving inward through stillness, then carrying our light back out into the world.

🍎 Apples, 🌲 evergreens, 🕯️ beeswax candles, and objects from the kingdoms of nature(minerals , plant, animal, )rest along the path, honoring life’s beauty, resilience, and hidden potential.

A quiet, sacred moment—reminding us that even in darkness, each child carries a light that matters. ✨🤍
