From the SEC to the BIG 10 meet our Treasurer, Kirethia Chambers! This Auburn Grad decided to head to The Ohio State University while aspiring to work in team operations for the NFL. While at OSU Kirethia works as a graduate teaching assistant within the College of Education and Human Ecology. She also works with Ohio State Sport Properties!

We hope everyone had a great Holiday! It's time to meet our secretary, Faith Nelson! The Hawkeye decided to trade in her Black and Gold for Scarlet and Grey because, "OSU has so many great opportunities for me to grow in the world of athletics and have already provided me with so many amazing opportunities to gain experience and connections. There’s no other place I could picture myself obtaining my masters degree." Outside of working in sports, Faith plans to write a horror novel one day!

College Ga❌e day is headed back to Colu❌bus for.... THE GA❌E! Earlier this Fall, students in our ❌asters of Sport ❌anage❌ent progra❌ had the opportunity to work alongside ESPN's College Ga❌e Day against Norte Da❌e! We can't wait to do it all again this weekend against TTUN! Go Bucks!

Meet our Vice President, Jonatan Jimenez! The Columbus native and Green Bay Packers fan decided to stay at tOSU for his Master's in Sport Management because, " I was born and raised in Ohio. The Ohio State University has become a competitive school in many spaces and staying close to home while getting a great education is everything to me. Not only that but the staff and people I have met here have truly made a difference in my personal/professional development." Currently Jonatan is an Athletics Intern for Olentangy Liberty High School and hopes to work in the front office for a professional sports team!

It is time to meet our 2022- 2023 Executive Board for The Ohio State University's Sport Management Association! First up is President Robbie Murphy. Robbie is a double Buckeye who completed his undergraduate degree at tOSU, while he was a member of the Men’s Volleyball team. Currently, he works as a Financial Associate within the Athletic Business Office with aspirations to one day be a Collegiate Athletic Director. When asked why he decided to continue his education at Ohio State the Glen Ellyn, IL native stated, “The Ohio State University is an elite institution to learn about the world of sports and gain championship level experience.” Robbie is also a fan of the Chicago Cubs!

This past Friday some of our students were able to visit the set of Fox Big Noon Kickoff to get a behind the scenes look at how the show is run! Big thanks to program alum Urban Meyer and Heisman trophy winner Reggie Bush for taking the time to talk with our students and give excellent career advice. What a wonderful opportunity and great experience to have! 🤩
