Self care doesn’t have to be complicated to be meaningful. Sometimes it looks like slowing down, getting rest, and giving yourself the same care you give to everyone else.
Whether it’s reading a book, staying cozy all day, getting enough sleep, or celebrating a small win, these little moments add up.
Take care of you. You deserve it. ❤️

Bike Month is a great time to inspect your bike and take care of any needed repairs. Also, make sure your helmet is in good working order – or if your child needs one, contact Safe Kids for a helmet fitting at [email protected]
May is NATIONAL BIKE MONTH, a celebration of bicycling for transportation and recreation, and we're ready - with four events in four weeks! We hope you'll get out to ride, not just these events, but every day you can.
REASONS TO BIKE (OR WALK):
• Good for TRANSPORTATION: Run errands on the Dragonfly Trail Network - Columbus, GA. More than 38% of car trips in the U.S. are 3 miles or less, with more than 16% being 1 mile or less (FHWA - https://nhts.ornl.gov/vehicle-trips ).
• Good for HEALTH: The health benefits of riding bicycles (at all ages) are numerous: increased cardiovascular fitness, strength, balance, flexibility, endurance, and calories burned.
• Good for the ENVIRONMENT: Transportation is the largest source of carbon in Georgia. Choosing to walk or bike for short trips reduces travel emissions by around 75% (Our World In Data - https://ourworldindata.org/travel-carbon-footprint ).
• Good for Your WALLET: Owning a car is widely reported to cost more than $11,000 per year. Cut costs and extend the life of your car by replacing car trips with your bicycle. (AAA - https://newsroom.aaa.com/2022/08/annual-cost-of-new-car-ownership-crosses-10k-mark )
• Good for your SOUL: Riding a bicycle is fun! It’s also a great way to enjoy nature and build community.
