oh hello :) my observant followers may have realized that i haven’t posted on here in a while

there are quite a few reasons for that, but i wouldn’t dare bore you with details. long story short i have recently decided to take a big pause on blooms by jenna.

with working full time, going to grad school, being a friend, girlfriend, sister, daughter etc, & running a business, i am juggling a lot of balls. & while i have learned that i am capable of juggling everything, i have also learned that i don’t want to.

my last wedding is october 15th & i hope to finish with the best one yet :) it has been a lovely 2 years full of learning new things, facing new fears, & conquering new challenges. i know flowers will always exist in my life & who knows where the future will lead, but for now it is time to say goodbye.

thank you to everyone who has been a part of this small business. thank you to my family for always helping me, my friends for always referring me, & mostly my brides for always trusting me.

there were so many things i loved about the florals for this wedding

the textures
the tones
the splash of color
& the simplicity

but my absolute favorite was the lil cake piece. i saved it for last & stayed up late finishing all the tiny details. it was delightful, quiet, peaceful and fully stress free.

sometimes [all times] running blooms by jenna overwhelms me. i’m not made for the fast paced, high stress, non stop wedding industry, but i try to fit in anyway & i end up feeling defeated & i just want to quit.
when that happens, i have to make myself stop & the remember the moments that made me want to do this.

the moments i remember are always quiet ones. ones where i went slow, felt calm, fully at peace & connected with the work i was doing.

& that’s the feeling i want to find again.

i’m back from the clutches of covid 😎

shout out to everyone i left hanging this week. thanks for being patient with me.

my bf & i were quarantined together & spent the whole week binging ozark (season 1&2 so no spoilers plz), playing board games & eating popsicles. it was a pretty good week ngl

but we are glad to be feeling better & i’m ready to get back to my regular routine. anyone else feel this way after their time in club covid??

today i am celebrating one year of being a freaking business owner 💃🏼

starting a business was NEVER in my plans & honestly there is a lot about being a small biz owner that i do not like (hello numbers, math & money).

i wanted to quit a lot this year, but i am proud of myself for pushing past all the mistakes, uncertainties & hard days.
i’ve learned a lot & i’ve grown a lot & if i could go back i wouldn’t change one thing.

i’ve been doing lots of prep work for my weddings this year & i am just getting so excited for all the new opportunities i am going to have.

october was cray. i was busy & overwhelmed & my schedule wasn’t maintainable. so i’ve been reflecting a lot this november & it’s time to make some changes.

1. i will be mainly booking weddings (& events) in the summer only (aka june, july, & august if you don’t know your months). so reach out if you are a summer bride looking for a florist!

tbh their backyard wedding was the most lovely & joy-filled event i have ever been a part of & i am forever thankful for the example of selfless love that is their marriage.
