Karen Newlon's mother past this last week and the funeral was held this morning. Their email address is [email protected]. Prayers for our classmates upon their loss.

Judy spoke with Richard Stalter this past week. Richard is to start chemo this Monday. Richard commented that he is able to wear his slimmer clothes that are in his closet. Still joking which is a good thing. Keep Richard and his family in your prayers. He commented that the prayers from our " Simply the Best Class, " has done a lot for him . Prayers are the best especially coming from people that have been your friends for so long. We love you Richard.

Good Morning Simply the Best Classmates and Friends-

Ah, time sure has a way of speeding by us! We planned our get-together, had it, got home, and it is already September! Now how did that happen?? Remember back in the day when everyone pushed to finish vacations, going to the pool, and getting the last bit of summer fun in before Labor Day and then school started AFTER Labor Day! Not anymore! Football is happening again, thank goodness, and the band marches on. Life in the fast lane!

It was a VERY GOOD TIME at The Barn and SO good seeing everyone who came! A BIG THANKS TO DICK AND KAREN FOR HOSTING OUR EVENt We are a blessed group to have such connection with one another! I LOVE YOU GUYS AND GALS! So, what I will do is recap news from after the 11th you may not know about.

Patty Hoops could not attend due to her doctor telling her that her immune system was too weak to be around folks. Patty has leukemia and so has to be careful. She left me a phone message as she had wanted to come. She is still quilting and making Miss Stage proud!!

Dwight Hoover woke with a sore throat so decided not to come and chance that it might be something other than a sore throat. See, us old folks use common sense and practice safe hygiene and stay healthy or try to!

Larry Brown could not come due to pending surgery and not being allowed to be in crowds. Talked with Larry and he is asking for your prayers and healing thoughts as he faces surgery in Sept. I am sure Linda will keep me posted with updates and I will share. Larry, know we all love you and are praying for a speedy recovery. Larry’s info is: 4510 SR 668 S., Junction City, OH 43748-0266 and email at [email protected]

Don’t know if you heard Janie DePinto was in the ER the day prior to our get-together with knee issues! Ugh! She’d fallen I understand and so I need to follow up on that. Connie Deavers Walker shared that with me.

Peggy Cheney Orecchio’s brother Jack passed away Aug 22nd so please send Peggy a card at 10605 Belle Dr., Norwich, OH 43767-9608, or email at [email protected]. Lordy, I was working on this letter and Peggy wrote and said her youngest sister, Diane Cheney Miller, 66, passed away Monday and services are Sat., Sept. 11 in Lancaster. PLEASE keep Peggy and her family in your thoughts and prayers during this rough time.

Rich Beach wrote me as he promised to update things with him. He is doing well, not as busy as he used to be, but that is the story for all of us! It was a beautiful letter!

We have lost 41 classmates that I am aware of. I am working on updating address, phones and email addresses which I am sure will take a while. Don’t be surprised if I call asking for information or to confirm I have your info right or just to talk!! It is so easy anymore with no long distance….

I want to thank everyone who donated funds at The Barn. I do appreciate your support and the money is used for our get-togethers and to send flowers when someone passes or needs something.

We signed cards Alpha and I had for classmates & I am sure Alpha has sent hers and mine are going out this week. Thanks to everyone who signed them.

I just wish I had gotten more time to talk with everyone and catch up. Write me a note and fill me in! You are all so special and you are very important to me and everyone!!

Going to get this off and ask you remember all those classmates who are going thru ‘tuff’ times and know your prayers and support mean a lot. Stay safe and take care of yourselves!

God Bless You and the USA!

Love ya!
