🤍 A beautiful Friday morning at OIA. 🌿📖

Alhamdulillah, today we began a new Friday tradition—our Surat Al-Kahf Club! Our students gathered together to read and listen to Surat Al-Kahf, beginning their day surrounded by the words of Allah and their OIA family.

Our hope is that these Friday mornings nurture a lifelong love for the Qur’an, strengthen our students’ connection to their faith, and help them grow into proud, confident Muslim-Americans. 💚

And the celebration continued! 🎉 We also recognized our students who completed 85% or more of their Summer Bridge work over the summer. We are so proud of their dedication and commitment to learning! 📚✨

✨ Meet Mrs. Hajira Khan, one of our Fifth Grade Co-Teachers! 💚🩵

We’re excited to welcome Mrs. Khan back to OIA in a new role this year! After teaching Quran at OIA last year, she is bringing her previous experience teaching middle and high school history into our fifth-grade classroom.

Mrs. Khan is passionate about helping students become confident, well-rounded Muslims, discover their interests and talents, and keep their learning grounded in our Deen. 📚🌱

Together with Mrs. Danna Habbal, she looks forward to making fifth grade a year of growth, curiosity, and connection.

We’re excited to welcome Mrs. Habbal to the OIA family! With a background in Elementary Education, she is passionate about helping students grow academically while building a strong Islamic identity and meaningful connection to their faith.
