Harvesting is magical in pajamas or not!
Celebrating this season of Lughnasadh by attending our annual Dublin Irish festival here in central Ohio, one of the largest heritage festivals here in the US.
Iāve also got the task of trying again at a sour dough starter as well as using my saved corn leaves to make dollsā¦but tonight is for music, arts, food, drink, dancing, & cheer all while celebrating Celtic Irish heritage.
What are you doing to mark this first of three harvest festivals this season?

Itās that time of day, that time of year.
The only thing we are guaranteed in this life is change (so Iām told and so it seems), yet I canāt help but notice how some things also feel like they never do.
Itās the second cool and crisp morning here in central Ohio with all the feelings I remember from back to school mornings of my own as well as my childrenās past 16 years or so.
This back to school and mid summer season feels a little different with 4 graduates and the baby of the house entering their final year/but previously a remote learner.
While it may feel a little different, cooler mornings with warm but long summer days and the most adorable little sliver of moon in the morning sky tells me Leo season is just around the corner and in a month Virgo comes around to get us ready for another shift of the wheel.
These are my favorite mornings and my older self realizes maybe the anticipation of that next season is a little more fun than the turn itselfā¦so like an excited kid to return to seeing friends at school, Iāll sip my tea in anticipation of harvests and pretty colored leaves to come.
This isnāt exactly a time of year for slowing down, but the yard and house will wait 30 minutes for morning tea and daily intentionsā¦maybe pulling a card or two.
Happy Tuesday!

Good morning moon āØ
Itās the little things like watching the sunrise to the east and catching the strawberry moon to the west.
Quiet mornings before everyone is awake or the summer heat peaks!

Most in my element Iāve been for a minute, spring foraging is always a great way to start creating and coming out of my dark month cocooning self š·
Fun fact: I bought my hope 2 years ago April 3 and this is the 3rd violet season Iāve seen. I squeed with such delight when I saw all this land covered in violets galore amongst other backyard foraging finds.
This was the first year I was aboe to physically harvest a small amount for an hour š

Happy Imbolc or mid-winter! I spent the day doing some much needed self care & decided to give the main living space a Valoween vibe I am not done with just yet.
Iāve also been getting excited reading the current Mother Earth news magazine and starting to come out of my winter hibernation with some snowy walks, but cozy season isnāt over yet.
Last week we had frost quakes and this week we finally saw several inches of snow & ice melt away.
Change is in the air and if you have maple trees to tap, you might be more in touch with that than most.
This time is for dreaming, resting, getting all things home & finance in order so that when that wheel turns again, youāre ready for the outdoors.
I hope to see many of you soon, in person or around here, but for most of us this is also a hard time to be on socialā¦so take care and think on those little seeds of intention youāll be planting soon enough!

ā¦I myself am a little strange & unusual after all
What I DO know is that we are full on October spooky fun vibes around here š„°
I ALSO know weāve got a Libra new moon on deck tomorrow and as a Libra moon Iāve been working on my intentions & magic making for days now.
What magical, seasonal, or spooky times haves you been conjuring?

Current vibes š» we couldnāt decide what to do tonight because our bodies are currently fighting off all the sinus fun of seasons shifting. Instead of forcing it, we had dinner at home and got enough snacks for a few more spooky season movie nights instead!
Happy Friday 13th spooky souls!

Today is a New Moon in Virgo š
ā¦and oh how I could tell. I spent my day focusing on tidying and getting intentional about running our lives more like a business.
So a lot of next season of life dreaming and aligning along with tackling finance, then forming intentional habits or rituals around all of the above.
Iāve also been āhaunting the hallsā or turning my home into an autumn & spooky cozy vibing home and tending to the literal garden spaces.
These are all very Virgo influenced things and werenāt planned, but after really get lunar aligned you just seem to be more aware of your natural patterns that have been there all along, slowly telling the story of your astrological charts possibilities & major themes.
Anyhow Iām Brandy, head house elf & magic maker here at WitchyThyme and while I love being a professional who gets to use all things tarot, mediumship/paranormal investigations, astrology, herbalism, foraging/wildcrafting, and coaching with all these tools in the serious and for many deeply healing work I do in my 1:1 ,group, & event offerings.
Iām also a social worker by most days and bring that skill set along with my educational background to provide custom tailored guidance while also being able to deliver further insight in both entertainment venues as well as individuals or groups I work with.
BUT when Iām not being a totally serious and professional adultā¦witchā¦you can find me snuggled up in my glow in the dark skelly pajamas that match my husbands, feeling like queen of spooky town š» basking in all the beauty thisāļø Virgo new moons infouence had on me the past 24 hours! Feeling restful and recharged š„°
How did you spend these first couple days of September?

Paw Paw plants keep on keeping on, found some autumn olive and chicken of the woods without even meaning toā¦was just taking a quick 15 minute walk over the weekend.
How did this past Aquarius full moon treat you?
Iāve been through the light and shadow, full circle over the past few days myself!
