These hands-on programs give Ohio students the opportunity to explore computing, research, and real-world problem solving in a supportive environment.

STEM Institute: High school (freshman–junior)
Youth STEM Institute: 6th–7th grade

The Ohio Supercomputer Center is accepting applications for two hands-on STEM programs designed to spark curiosity, build skills, and introduce students to advanced computing and research.

• STEM Institute (SI) | May 31–June 12
An immersive, research-focused experience for students ready to dive deeper into STEM and computing concepts.

• Youth STEM Institute (YSI) | July 12–17
An introductory, hands-on program designed to explore STEM in an engaging and supportive environment.

Behind the selfie ➡️ The selfie

STEM brings them together — but it’s the connections they build that last far beyond the program 🤳💫

Students toured the State of Ohio Computer Center today, where they got a behind-the-scenes look at the infrastructure that powers research across the state — including our high-performance supercomputing clusters. ⚙️💻

The experience offered a unique glimpse into the world of supercomputing — one we hope will stay with them throughout their time with us and beyond.

We’re crossing the finish line on week one of the STEM Institute—and racing into the weekend with a visit to the OSU Center for Automotive Research! 🏎️💨
