Another Arnold Classic in the books

First time back .house in awhile. I decided after a long 12 day stretch of working that I needed a break from the normal routine after a somewhat restful weekend. Next week it’s back to weightlifting with a pilates or lagree class once a week. #

I thought I loved pilates before but I took my first Intermediate/Advanced mixed equipment class and I have fallen in love with it all over again lol. Some of it may look easy, but there’s a reason it’s intermediate/advanced. My technique is far from perfect, but I can’t wait to start working on it more.

I like to incorporate a nice chest day with a bit of triceps during my routine for the week because bench and balance duh 😝

I finally feel like I’ve worn these enough at work (and in general) to give my take on them, especially for who asked that also work on their feet a lot in a hospital setting.
I used them for 12 hours a day and wore them to work on the weekday and used them all day on the weekends for 3 weeks now. I average about 10,000 steps a day give or take. It takes some getting used to for the first several days as your feet adjust to being without the amount of support that people typically use. Ever since then I’ve felt great walking in them and have not gone back to my other shoes. I will say a precursor is that I do Pilates and we do footwork so that may also contribute to the health or strength of my feet to begin with so it may take you longer to adjust to the shoes. I have had no knee problems no hip problems and I feel pretty great overall. They do have orthopedic inserts that I tried and I prefer to wear the shoes without them.

This is that cold weather that will whisper “Skip the gym. Get in the bed”. Don’t let it win.

I am not saying that Halotherapy, aka the Himalayan salt cave, is miracle work, HOWEVER, for the first time in over a month since my second bout with covid, I can finally breath normally, haven’t used my inhaler as much and I don’t have as much burning in my chest with physical exertion. I already went on some occasions for allergies and general meditation and I will continue to go over the next few weeks to see the full effect.
