Next Monday (October 22nd) at 7:30PM in Schoenbaum 319, PDP will be hosting a Personal Leadership Seminar with business owner and award winning author, Mike Figliuolo. Mike is the author of an extremely popular leadership book called One Piece of Paper, which helps individuals identify their leadership philosophy to guide them to success in the business world. Mike spoke at a PDP event last fall and developed some great networking connections with our members. If you are interested in networking or determining what it takes to be a great leader, please attend this event.

PDP Bowling Social 10/15/12

The Professional Development Program is hosting Linda Burstein, a Corporate Recruiter for Deloitte on Monday, October 8th at 7:30 PM in Schoenbaum 319. Linda will be discussing pre-interview company research, pre-interview tips, typical interview format, the STAR technique, Do's and Don't's, and proper attire. She will also be discussing opportunities with Deloitte. Linda is one of our favorite speakers, so we highly recommend you come and meet her! As always, pizza and pop will be provided.

Next week on Monday, October 1st, The Professional Development Program will be hosting Meg Flood, the Assistant Director of Undergraduate Career Services in Fisher, and three Peer Advisers from Gerlach for a resume workshop at 7:30 PM in Schoenbaum 319. Meg will be giving a short presentation on resume formatting and then students will have an opportunity to work on their resumes with the Peer Advisers. Come take advantage of this great opportunity to strengthen your resume! Pizza and Pop provided!

Please bring a rough draft copy of your resume! Even if you do not have a formal resume, putting something down on paper will help you get much more out of the workshop.

The Professional Development Program is hosting Casey Strawser, the Corporate Recruiter for Reynolds & Reynolds on Monday, September 24th at 7:30 PM in Schoenbaum 319. Casey will be discussing the importance of professionalism in the workplace. She will also be discussing internship opportunities at Reynolds & Reynolds. Pizza and Pop provided!

PDP is holding an Etiquette Dinner on Monday, September 10th at 7:30PM in Schoenbaum 319. PDP will be hosting Collette Masterson, the event coordinator for the Ohio Union. She will be teaching the proper etiquette required for a typical dinner that students would experience throughout their careers. The event will be catered by Buca Di Beppo.

RSVP is required for this event and there are only 30 spots available so please respond as soon as possible. The required dress for this event is business casual. We hope to see you on Monday at PDP's Etiquette Dinner!

Come on out for PDP's Career Fair Preparation Workshop tonight, Thursday August 30th at 7:05PM in Schoenbaum 320. The Office of Career Management will be hosting this workshop which will fully prepare you for the Fisher Fall Career Fair which is taking place on September 5th. They will also be answering any questions that you might have regarding the career fair. As always, we will have FREE PIZZA AND POP! We hope to see you there.
