Saturday March 15 from 10am to 6pm. Eight hours is the State of Ohio requirement.

THE JOURNEY LEADERSHIP TRAINING is a non-profit training organization that helps people and families protect and prepare. In the past this site was mainly used for prepping and concealed carry topics. Due to "transitions" in my life, my advocation is changing a little. I still want to advocate for personal and family protection. Prepping is something everyone should do. Protection is something everyone should be prepared for. But I am going to take a more holistic approach to that. Luke 10:27 quotes Jesus "So he answered and said, "'You shall love the Lord your God with all your heart, with all your soul, with all your strength, and with all your mind,' and 'your neighbor as yourself.' " So that is what I am going to focus on.... .how do we cultivate our heart, soul, strength, and mind to better allow us to love our families and neighbors. Here are the class descriptions;
Concealed Carry: This is the NRA Basic Pistol Course. This course exceeds the requirement to get a state of Ohio Concealed Carry Permit. Included in the price of the course is the NRA Book and the use of our pistol and ammunition. Youth under 18 need to be accompanied by a parent. The certificate is good for 3 years so and 18 year old can take the course and apply of their permit as soon as they turn 21. Even kids under 18 have taken the course just for the informational benefit.
Hand to Hand for beginners: This is a theory and hands on class to teach survival fighting skills. This is totally different from MMA or martial arts. This is more like street fighting 101. The instructor has been in many fights and has studied many types of fighting skills. The guarantee is that you will be able to say that you have doubled your ability or your money is returned. Youth under 18 need to be accompanied by a parent.
Modern Preparedness: This is not extreme prepper stuff. It is what your great-grandparents did as part of their everyday life. We’ve updated information and applied it to modern situations. These skills are good to have even if nothing bad happens. Adopting a preparedness life style relieves worries and gets you closer to nature. We believe it is a healthier and happier life style.
