The number on a scale is so arbitrary. It doesn't distinguish muscle or mental strength. It doesn't show what makes you, you. That number doesn't matter and doesn't say anything about your experiences and power as a woman, so let's focus on the numbers that truly shape us. A 👀 at our event last week for Week!

to Mallory Allen for Body Image 3D Woman of the Year! "Mallory embodies the mission of BI3D in a countless number of ways. She is a woman in engineering which is incredible to start with and you can almost always find her in the SEL studying. Although she is a hard worker, she also knows how to have fun by not being afraid to be herself. She is quirky and goofy and she is not afraid to show it which is something I admire most about her. Mallory is also the most positive person I know. Even when things aren't going her way, she always has a way of looking at a situation that makes it seem as if it is for the best. I have never seen her without a smile on her face. She also empowers her sisters by speaking up and tell them what they mean to her. I sometimes receive random texts from her that she sends just to tell me that she appreciates me which always brightens my day. She truly cares about the good of the chapter which can be seen through her hard work to reform. She stood strong because she knew it would help members to better model the values of the chapter. I could go on and on about how incredible Mallory is, but ultimately I believe she is the ideal Tri Delta woman and lives by the principles of BI3D each and every day without even knowing it. She rocks."

Tri Delta takes a 3-dimensional approach to body image focusing on a healthy mind, body, and spirit. By empowering our members, chapter, and community to live a wellrounded life in 3D, we can hope to gain healthy self esteem and achievement for all

Congrats to our Casey Sutherland ❤❤ so proud of you and all of your hard work!

Congratulations to our September Scholar of the Month Casey Southerland of Tri-Delt! Casey is a senior Industrial and Systems Engineering major from Atlanta, Georgia. This past summer Casey interned for Abbott Laboratories, and she just accepted a full time position with Abbott after graduation. Her future plans are to enter into a rotational engineering program within Abbott Labs after graduation starting in July 2017. She will be moving 4 times around the country and working 4 different roles within nutrition/healthcare within a few years. She really wants to build her career at Abbott, and she is so excited about the opportunity to move around and see different roles within the company in just a few short years! She hopes to serve as one who empowers women and as someone who can mentor others and build into them to help them reach their full potential! She's passionate about non-profit work as well and continuing her work with Free the Girls, a non-profit focused on building up career opportunities for women survivors of human trafficking in developing nations. She started a student chapter of Free the Girls here at Ohio State. She hopes to be working at Abbott, pursuing non-profit work, as well as going on mission and service trips for her first few years after graduation.
