For the last 3 years, my school has provided extra food help to local families for Thanksgiving and Winter break. The first year, we served around 75 people. The second year, close to 200. Last year 355, and we expect to be close to 500 this year. We serve all who request help, no one is turned away.
In years past, we have had the assistance of Mid-Ohio Food Collective. This year, due to dramatic increases in demand coupled with supply chain shortages, we do not have that partnership. We are in a tight spot of increased demand and decreased agency support. If you are so inclined, we are welcoming donations of food, gift cards and direct donations to our PTO through next Friday, November 18. 100% of donations will be used for hunger relief for families over Fall and/or Winter Break.
