Super simple, 7-ingredient tzatziki. Give it a try! :)
Vegan Tzatziki
Just as summer was kicking off this year my mom came to visit. In anticipation of her arrival, Mason and a friend made a couple garden boxes for us using leftover wood from our fence repairs. Waste not, want not. They we...

Quick and easy, budget friendly, and decadently delicious. Give this one a try!
30-Minute Miso Garlic Butter Noodles
I have come to appreciate that very often the best meals are the simplest. The unexpected decadence of a quick, less than 30-minute, 8-ingredient meal was just what I needed recently and I'm betting you might feel the sa...

Happy National Salsa Month! Did you know the US Department of Agriculture considers salsa a vegetable?
The Ultimate Black Bean & Corn Salsa With Oil-Free Corn Chips
We are big fans of taco night in our house. One of the very first dinners I remember hosting together as a married couple was a vegan taco night for a large group of friends. It's not difficult to convince people to dig ...

April is Didu's birthday month. I made a huge batch of extra "snoopy" vegan mac & cheese to celebrate. Check it out if you're looking for a whole-food, plant-based, oil-free mac & cheese alternative. It's pretty darn good.
Hidden Veggie Vegan Mac & "Cheese"
When my sister and I were little girls, there were few things my dad's dad, our Didu, would cook for us. Sometimes he would try his hand at a sauté pan and make up a big batch of crispy potatoes, onions, and carrots. As ...

The month of love is coming to an end but it’s always a good time to get saucy.
My easy, oil-free pasta sauce recipe is live on www.bread lettuce.com/recipes. Chef tips: use organic canned san marzano tomatoes in their own juices, avoid citric acid, and simmer for under 15 minutes. Easy peasy!
What night is pasta night this week?

Valentine's Day might be over, but you can keep your week saucy with this recipe. ;)
Easy Oil-Free Tomato Sauce
When I first learned how to make a good tomato sauce from scratch I became a tomato sauce snob. I refused to buy the premade stuff from the store for a long time. A quick glace at the ingredients lists on those premade v...

Dreaming of warmer, sunnier days on this cold, snowy January afternoon. Just a day and a half until this month ends, friends! And just 49 days until Spring! Hang in there. 💕
In the meantime, February is American Heart Health month. To celebrate and bring awareness to heart health, I am hosting a VIRTUAL Food For Life class on foods for a healthy heart on Sunday afternoon, February 5th.
According to the CDC, someone dies every 34 seconds from cardiovascular disease in the United States. About 697,000 people (that’s 1 in every 5) died from heart disease in 2020. Cardiovascular disease has actually been the leading cause of death in the United States for decades. But there are steps we can take to minimize risk and protect ourselves.
If you’re interested in learning more, reserve a spot for my virtual class. All participants will receive 3 heart healthy recipes along with a shopping list and will get to see me demonstrate how to cook them all.
Hope to see you in class! DM me if you have questions or want to learn more. Swipe to see the class recipe menu and registration link.

Stuffed Delicata Squash
The holiday season can be hard for many. This year was especially tough. I found myself and my husband repeating some version of the mantra (often to ourselves, sometimes to each other): 'almost there, the holidays are a...
