As we close another incredible school year, we are filled with gratitude, pride, and excitement for all that our students, staff, and families have accomplished together. This year was filled with growth, achievements, unforgettable memories, and moments that reminded us just how special our school community truly is.

The end of a school year is a celebration of how far we’ve come and a reminder of the bright future ahead. Our students have worked hard, supported one another, and continued the tradition of excellence that makes our school so meaningful.

And while the school year may be ending, the celebration is not over! So many great things happened this year, and we’ll be highlighting those special moments throughout the summer.

One of the most meaningful moments from this past week was welcoming back former students for our Senior Walk as they prepare to graduate. Seeing them return, dressed in their caps and gowns, was a powerful reminder that our school’s legacy lives on through each and every student who walks our halls. We are so proud of them and excited for all that lies ahead. Congratulations class of 2026!! 🎉🎓

Have a safe, joyful, and well deserved summer!

Students in Mrs. Slater's third grade class had the opportunity to collaborate with local muralist, Christoph Johnson, to design and create a meaningful mural that reflects their voices and vision.

Mr. Johnson spent time with the class listening to their ideas and learning about what matters most to them. Together, they transformed those ideas into a powerful piece of art that advocates for change and reminds us all that even the youngest members of our community can make a real impact.

The mural highlights students working together to support their community by preventing food insecurity through composting and growing a fresh fruits and vegetables. This project not only encouraged creativity, but also empowered students to see the importance of teamwork, sustainability, and using their voices to inspire change. 💪🏽

Thank you Mr. Johnson for pouring into our students and bringing their vision to life! We are amazed by your thoughtfulness and generosity!

The Professional Development Lab School at Dimon Magnet Academy has brought so many opportunities that have blessed our students. Today, we want to share one that blessed our Dimon families as well. Columbus Technical College has been conducting an Early Childhood Education certificate class free of charge exclusively for Dimon families. These parents have been coming to Dimon each week to participate in these classes. Last Thursday was their final class, and were surprised with a celebration that included them receiving caps and gowns they can use at graduation, several goodies for being involved, and a surprise stipend just for their participation! We are beyond blessed to not only support our students, but also provide for their families through our PDLS partnership. We cannot thank April Hopson and Columbus Technical College enough for what they have done to change the lives of our Dolphins! Outstanding job, ladies! We are so proud of you! 🎓

Dimon Magnet Academy would like to extend a heartfelt thank you to the Columbus Council AT&T Pioneers Group, especially Mr. Luke Camp and Mr. Dexter Smith, for their continued support of our students and school community. In celebration of Arbor Day 2026, their generous donation of a Granny Smith apple tree to the Dimon Fruit Orchard helps us grow not only fresh fruit, but meaningful, real-world learning experiences for our students. We are also incredibly grateful for their thoughtful contributions of snacks and sunscreen for Field Day, helping keep our students energized and protected throughout the day. In addition, their previous donation of a wide variety of flower, fruit, and vegetable seeds played a vital role in helping us grow our spring garden. We truly appreciate their ongoing partnership in helping us cultivate resources and support the needs of our community!

Field day was full of fun, fellowship, and festivity! Everywhere we looked we saw smiling faces, and our Dolphins had such a great time that a few drizzles couldn’t bring them down! After field day, the fun continued with an Ink Wars, part two competition! Five more students were paired with artists, and had one hour to create a masterpiece that matched a theme that they found out as time began. The rest of our students were able to eat a picnic lunch and watch creativity in action. It truly was an amazing day! Thank you to all of the families that came to support their students, to Calvary Christian School students for planning the games and volunteering to make sure stations ran smoothly, to Mike Jones for his support and the incredible opportunities his partnership has brought to Dimon, and to the Dimon staff for going above and beyond for our students like always! We could not have done it without each of you. It sure is great to be a Dimon Dolphin! 🐬 Drop your pictures below👇🏽so we can see all of the fun!!

Today was the last robotics competition of the season, and Dimon’s CCSSC rockstar robotics team showed out! They competed in the Precision and Dexterity category, and won FIRST PLACE for their Cloudy with a Chance of Meatballs inspired project.🥇They have been working hard this month on recreating a scene from the book, then coding their robot to “clean up” the oversized food they created. While their code was impressive, what set them apart was the way they spoke with the judges and explained their process. We are so proud of the way they worked together, designed the missions, and delivered a strong performance. Thank you to the coaches, Mr. Elliott and Mrs. Davis, for preparing the students and for what they bring to Dimon Robotics. Great job team, way to shine bright! 🐬

Happy National School Principal’s Day to the very best there is!

Mrs. Wilson’s leadership is the kind that truly makes a difference. Rooted in grace, humility, and a genuine servant’s heart, she sets the bar high and challenges students and staff to reach it by coaching, guiding, and investing in each of us every step of the way. Her intelligence and vision as an educator are unmatched. She thinks beyond the obvious, creating strong, effective plans, and always finding a way to make things work. She doesn’t just expect greatness, she models it! Dimon is stronger because of Mrs. Wilson’s leadership.

Today we celebrate her and the incredible impact she makes every single day. Thank you Mrs Wilson for leading with purpose and for inspiring greatness in all of us! 🐬
