On May 7th, we gathered together as a school community to commemorate the 250th anniversary of our nation’s founding. Through music and song, our spring concert became a joyful celebration of truth, beauty, and the enduring spirit of our country. The musical tradition at CCA is truly exceptional—richly integrated into the life of the school and thoughtfully cultivated in our scholars throughout their years here.

Our 7th grade scholars concluded their study of Romeo and Juliet by bringing its final scenes to life through performance on the eve of Spring Break. It was a delight to witness their joy and wonder as they stepped into Shakespeare’s world, encountering the drama not only as readers, but as participants in the timeless art of the stage.

Last week, Theater Club performed two of Jon Jory’s adaptations of Arthur Conan Doyle’s beloved mysteries in The Game’s Afoot: The Lady Who Vanishes and The Speckled Band.
It was a wonderful evening filled with excellent acting and bits of humor. Thank you to Dr. Newton and Miss Blackstone for their work in helping to make the evening a success!
