Testimonials (RB Piano Studio launch; 2013):
"It gives me the greatest pleasure to write a paragraph for
Miss Blumensheid's (Buchan) piano studio. I have known Becky
since 2009, when she came to study at Capital University
as a Piano Performance major. I have witnessed her
success as an excellent student. She has been a sought
after accompanist on and off campus, and through diligent
studies and observations, she developed into an
exceptional piano teacher. Becky's sweet and engaging
personality makes her a lovable role model for the
youngsters. Her patience and experience will ensure her a
steady success in the teaching field." Tianshu Wang, DMA

"Having taught Ms. Blumensheid for 4 years at Capital

her expertise as a musician, pedagogue, and pianist. Her
warmth, exuberance, and experience with children bode
well for their success at the piano and for their developing
love of music. I give her my highest recommendation." Professor Seymour Fink

Spring Recital 2026 🎹
Always so proud of these rising musicians and honored to play a part in their journeys. I could share stories of how each one of them took on new (uncomfortable) challenges this year, set and met goals, and grew through it. Some of those goals included committing to a recital piece that was a level or two above their current method books, improvising on a basic jazz progression and adding 7ths and 9ths, and composing their own music.
Awesome job to each of you!!

A handful of students performed their Guild and Spring Recital repertoire for residents at the Village at Westerville this morning. Each student went the extra mile to share with the audience a few details about their music, including what they like about each song. Witnessing these amazing kids grow in confidence and share their music with others is a GIFT. Congrats to all! Next up, SPRING RECITAL 2026, our favorite event of the year!!!

Winter 2025 Group Lessons this past week offered a Happy Birthday workshop! After our Would You Rather icebreaker game, students analyzed the chord progression to harmonize the melody to play in any key. Happy Birthday is one of those must-know songs for pianists young and old! 😉 🎹

Tonight was a good night! Fall/winter recital 2025-26 is in the books. This year, we had a violinist perform a duet with piano and saw a full studio (21 students) participate in the recital. I’m always so proud of each student’s hard work and courage to perform!

Our 2024-25 Winter Recital is in the books! I’m mad proud of all of my students who navigated so well through my maternity leave and the holiday breaks. 10 out of 20 students performed today and 6 of those played their own compositions. I’m incredibly honored to have such amazing students and their families in my studio (and life)!

Taking a quick pause from my social media break to congratulate these 8 students on their performance today at a local retirement home! These events are a great way to advance a student’s experience performing and bless the residents all at once!

Spring Recital 2024 is in the books! I’m so very proud of the dedication and growth of each of these students. The greatest blessing is witnessing their own love for music develop from within! Bravo to you all for a fun and well-prepared performance! 🎊🎹

We wrapped up our spring semester retirement home performances yesterday. It’s pure joy to witness my students share their heart for music with the residents who are so greatly appreciative of our visits! Playing for them is a win on both sides! Next up is our big Spring Recital and Guild Auditions before we phase into summer! ☀️ Bravo to each student who performed this spring!

It is such a joy to teach these wonderful students (and those not pictured)! I’m humbled and grateful to have such amazing students and their families in my world. Over half of the students who participated in the winter recital had never performed for a formal audience. Bravo on a job well done!

I get the opportunity to highlight these two on our Winter Recital program tonight! They’ve studied with me for almost a year now and have taken on new challenges with passion and joy! They each worked diligently to perform in this year’s Pianorama, a multiple piano duet event. I had the unique privilege on conducting their level 2A group! Congratulations to you girls and to all of the Pianorama students!
