GEAR Gardens-Intro to hydroponics: Our interns learned about planting lettuce seeds into rockwool medium. Then waiting 2-3 days for the seeds to germinate! We learned from Fork Farms once we “see green, we put it in the machine”! Everyone in the GEAR program have had the opportunity to learn so much about growing hydroponically through Fork Farms & their online lessons! They also have step by step videos on the growing process, & 24 hour support if needed.

We are so thankful to have had this opportunity through the Sustainable Agriculture Research & Education program grant!

GEAR Gardens was so pleased to have received a grant through Sustainable Agriculture Research & Education program! Shane & Ruthie went to a two-day hydroponic training CropKing, Inc. They learned so much info & have used that knowledge to teach the GEAR interns how to grow hydroponically in the GEAR classroom! Stay turned for GEAR’s journey into hydroponics!
