Why does cheer practice, lift and condition so much? Because the hours and hours of training are truly worth those few minutes on the mat and the field.
I see a lot of wrist pain in cheerleaders.
If your body isn’t ready to handle the load / impact of stunting / tumbling, it will often show up in the wrists or ankles.
The answer to minimizing your wrist pain isn’t to just increase wrist strength or shoulder mobility but rather to work on all of these fundamental skills to improve your body’s ability to transfer force.
