Nicholas Gregory from Easton Town Center will be here on Campus TODAY, Thursday, April 28th from 11 am to 1 pm in front of the Career Development Center at 108 Erskine Hall.

He is currently recruiting Criminal Justice Students for several positions including Public Safety Dispatcher and Public Safety Officer. If interested, stop by the table and bring a copy of your resume with you.

a representative from Educational Solutions will be tabling in front of the Career Development Center (Erskine 108) on Tuesday, April 26th, from 11 am to 1 pm. One of the positions she is looking to fill is a Bilingual Administrative Assistant. Educational Solutions serves a large population of Latino families where little to no English is spoken. The ideal candidate needs to be highly organized, detail oriented, an ability to multi-task, great communication skills, out-going, fast learner and works well under pressure. Educational Solutions would prefer a candidate with school experience, Microsoft Office Word and Excel, and student data base system such as ProgressBooks and DASL. Interested students should stop by and talk with Michelle on Monday at Educational Solutions table.

Tatianna Ammons is the Career Development Center’s Artist in Residence for the month of April! She is displaying some of her artwork in the CDC (Erskine 108) over this month. Students are encouraged to drop in and check out her paintings.

A representative from Xavier University’s Accelerated Bachelor of Science in Nursing (ABSN) Program will be tabling today from 11 am to 1 pm outside of Hamilton Hall to answer questions ODU students might have about the program. Xavier’s ABSN Program is an option for ODU students, regardless of major, who decide during their time at ODU that they would like to pursue a career in nursing upon the completion of their bachelor's degree.

This weeks career champ is professor Nowlin! Public Relations instructor Kelli Nowlin has a background in public relations as well as in the news media with jobs ranging from on-air news person in AM-FM radio to producer at NBC4 Columbus. Her PR roles have included Communications Director for a large university as well as a statewide association. Kelli’s best advice to PR students is to network every chance they get and to always be ethical on the job. “Getting your name out there – and making sure you protect your personal integrity and reputation - are key to a successful PR career.” Thanks for everything you do here at ODU!

Stop by tomorrow for Drop-In Advising from 11 am – 1 pm in front of the CDC on the first floor of Erskine Hall. These “mini” appointments are limited to no more than 10 minutes and are ideal for QUICK resume and cover letter reviews, job and internship search tips, and other basic career advising questions. No pre-registration is taking place. Students can just stop by our table for a short meeting with one of their CDC advisors.
