Last weekend two remarkable alumni received honorary degrees during commencement ceremonies. Mr. Hayes Barnard, BS BA ’95 was recognized by the Trulaske College of Business, and Mr. Rodger O. Riney, BS CiE ’68, MBA ’69 by the College of Engineering. Both offered the Class of 2026 advice on achieving excellence and making a difference.

Kim Utlaut, BS '89, Mizzou Alumni Association Board President and Chief Brand Officer at Build-A-Bear Workshop, shared remarks with Mizzou Honors College graduates during commencement this weekend.

Graduates participated in the Build-A-Bear Heart Ceremony tradition, so that they can carry the heart of with them wherever they go. 💛 Congratulations, Honors College graduates!

Last weekend, St. Louis alumni joined us for the second annual Black & Gold Gala to celebrate the best of Mizzou in St. Louis. The event raised more than $225,000 which surpassed last year's total and will support student scholarships.

This year, three legendary St. Louis alumni were honored: Doug, BS '74 & Anne Albrecht, BJ '73, The Honorable E. Richard Webber, JD '67, and Maurice 'Marcy' Graham, JD '62 whose recognition was received by his wife, Edna Mae Graham, and son, Lee Graham.
