READY TO LEARN. Richland County Court Appointed Special Advocates (CASA) is hosting a back-to-school drive to gather school supplies for children in foster care. The drive offers multiple ways for residents and organizations to help children get ready for the upcoming school year, including:

• Bringing donated items to CASA’s headquarters in Room 407 of the County Judicial Center at 1701 Main St., Columbia
• Sponsoring children directly: $100 (covers supplies for five children), $250 (12 children), or $500 (25 children)
• Hosting a school supply drive with your work team, local nonprofit or community organization to gather items to donate

Let’s work together to give County children the gear to start the school year feeling eager, confident and ready to learn. The effort runs through July 4.
