My name is JoJo Holzman and I’m passionate about creating inclusive ways for every individual to play, communicate, and connect. Core Vocab 🤝 Braille (Contracted Grade II)

Both rely on a smaller set of high-frequency words to make communication more efficient. (ex: more • like • go • do • can • not)

Both systems show the power of learning building blocks that can be combined for efficient and meaningful communication.

It is no coincidence that robust communication systems continually boil down to high-frequency words and literacy!

Are you having trouble motivating your classroom team to model on devices while you run a lesson? 🤔

Challenge each other to see who can provide to most aided language stimulation within a predetermined time frame! ⏱

Designate a team member to keep score while you run a lesson. Provide the other team members a low-tech system or pair them with a student who has a device they can model on. Challenge the team to see how many times they can model a specific targeted core word naturally within the lesson.

First to reach 15 instances of modeling is the Amazingly Awesome Champ 🏆

Your team may be shocked at how often they are already providing the word verbally (or even with sign language) within their daily routine. But you already knew that 😉
