Lots of meetings this week to earn LOTS of BCP credits!! Dr. Jessi Farris from Heartland Veterinary Partners will be presenting on Tuesday for a lunch meeting at 12pm about making “cents of financial statements” (category 1) and a dinner meeting at 5pm at Waves Cider Co about difficult client conversations (category 3). We will be having wings for dinner!
Then on Wednesday, from 4-6pm, Dr. Bethany Hall will be leading us in a Nationwide workshop to earn 2 BCP credits in category 2. We will be having pizza tree for dinner!!

We had an AMAZING time this weekend at the VBMA Heartland Summit!! Thank you to all of our speakers that attended to help us become better leaders and better doctors! Thank you to for hosting such a fun event, and to our summit planning team who worked so hard to make this event possible!
We networked, met new friends and colleagues from our area, and ate lots of great food. We also were able to spend time with our FAVORITE Mizzou alum, Dr. Jessi Farris of Heartland Vet Partners (our event’s title sponsor)!

Meet the Team March!
Erin Wiley is Mizzou VBMA’s VP of Operations and Communications for 2024.
She is from St. Louis, MO but has lived in Columbia for 10 years since starting undergrad at Mizzou in 2014. Erin sees herself in a small animal practice with the possibility of specializing in orthopedics.
Erin joined VBMA with the goals of expanding her knowledge of the business side of veterinary medicine and taking advantage of learning other aspects of this field besides the curriculum in veterinary school. She chose to become a VBMA officer for the networking benefits that correspond with playing a larger role in VBMA. Her favorite part of VBMA is the variety of speakers that come from many different backgrounds.
One fun fact about Erin is that she is a twin!

Day 3 at the 2023 National Meeting, our University of Missouri Chapter won the Marketing excellence award! Huge shoutout to our previous exec board for planning and marketing a successful recruitment event during VET last year for the VM1 and VM2. We can’t wait to have the event for our incoming class of 2027!

Day 2 of the 2023 VBMA National Meeting started off with a heartfelt keynote speech from .moyal , followed by officer training, then round tables, and ended with a banquet!
Our exec board has had the opportunity to learn about VBMA and have made many great connections! They can not wait to bring what they have learned back to Mizzou!
