Today’s 8th graders are tomorrow’s leaders. 💡🎓
The Clarendon GEAR UP 8th Grade Cohort Conference provided students with opportunities to engage, learn, and begin envisioning their future possibilities. Preparing students early helps build the confidence, knowledge, and support needed for long-term success.
We’re excited to continue walking alongside these students on their educational journeys!

Our GEAR UP 8th Grade Cohort Conference in Williamsburg brought students together to explore pathways to success, build confidence, and begin thinking about their goals beyond middle school. Through engagement, learning, and meaningful conversations, students were encouraged to dream big and prepare for what’s ahead.

Who does GEAR UP SC serve?
We support both cohort students (currently 7th–8th grade, followed through graduation) and priority students (current 12th graders) across participating districts.
Our mission is long-term support—walking with students from middle school to postsecondary success.
