The Washington Commanders are making history, and Howard County is rallying behind! Tonight, the George Howard Building in Ellicott City will shine bright in burgundy, lighting the way as the Commanders gear up to face the Philadelphia Eagles in the NFC Championship this Sunday, January 26th. This marks the team’s first championship game appearance since 1991—an incredible moment for the DMV!

This season has been electrifying. With Commanders quarterback Jayden Daniels breaking records and being named 2024 Rookie of the Year and Offensive Rookie of the Year, it’s clear a new era has begun for Washington football. While I’ll always be a Ravens fan at heart, I’m thrilled to join the excitement and cheer on the Commanders as they "Raise Hail!"

Let’s show our support for the burgundy and gold! The George Howard Building will light up every evening at dusk until the Commanders’ 2024 season concludes!

If you see someone fall, don't assume they're fine—check on them. Older adults are particularly at risk when they fall, so let's look out for one another and do the right thing.
