When Courtney Kocak '06 arrived at Stephens College, she was chasing a dream of acting.
Today, she's a celebrated writer, podcaster, and producer β and the author of her debut memoir, Girl Gone Wild π Her work has appeared in The New York Times, The Washington Post, and the Los Angeles Times, plus Amazon's Emmy-winning Danger & Eggs and Netflix's Know It All.
Courtney reflects on how her time at Stephens shaped her creative voice: "Stephens was an early lesson in taking myself seriously as an artist and trusting my creative instincts." Her advice to current Stephens students? Develop your craft, build genuine community, and stay persistent β because "careers are built slowly, through persistence and sustained effort."
