One of the most remarkable buildings in the world recently reached completion in Barcelona, Spain — the Sagrada Família. Designed by visionary architect Antoni Gaudí, construction began in 1882 and spanned nearly 150 years, making it one of the longest architectural projects in history.
What makes it truly extraordinary is Gaudí's nature-inspired vision — towers that soar like trees, facades covered in intricate sculptures, and interiors filled with light that filters through stained glass like a forest canopy. Standing at over 560 feet, it is now the tallest church building in the world.
Gaudí dedicated the last years of his life entirely to the project, once saying he was building for generations to come. It turns out, he was right.
