Unexpected stresses and demands today. Irritated. Lots of driving. Not a lot of resilience. So, just now I pulled over. Breathed. Surrendered the day from my own will. Felt how loved I am. Thanked God for the opportunity to be of service. And now there’s (a little) more space. Spirituality is a practice. 🙏

“Action is movement with intelligence.”
B.K.S. Iyengar, Light on Life

Being a student of yoga develops your sense of internal listening, and from that comes body awareness. This brings the yoga postures (asanas) to life and intention to each movement. As a yoga teacher, you begin to take this learned body awareness and develop the skill of using verbal cues to describe specific actions to your students, in a way that is concise and relatable. In order to be an authentic yoga teacher, you must first be a devoted yoga student and work to understand your own body, your breath, and your mind.
