Hi everyone! I wanted to remind you that we have our final meeting of the semester this Thursday at 6:30 pm in 203 Arts & Science. We'll be having officer elections, eating pizza, and handing out T-shirts! I hope to see you all there!

Hi everyone! Hope you are all looking forward to spring break! I just wanted to remind you that we have a meeting tomorrow at 6:30 pm in 821 Lewis Hall with Dr. Roger Sommi, the Associate Dean of the UMKC School of Pharmacy at Mizzou. This will be a great opportunity to learn more about the School of Pharmacy and ask any questions you might have, so come prepared! Also, we have a couple tshirts left from last semester for $10 if anyone is interested! See you all tomorrow!

Hey everyone!

Reminder that we have a meeting tonight at 6:30 pm in 203 Arts & Science. We're having a retail pharmacy manager come and speak, so if you're interested in going into retail I would definitely recommend coming! Also, a pharmacy student informed me that they are going to be having a Bone Marrow Drive a week from today, March 2 from 10-2 in the Student Center. If you stop by to register as a donor and take a picture of yourself at the event and send it to me at [email protected], I will count that as a service event. As a reminder, if you'd like to be an officer you need to attend at least one service event. Finally, if you're looking for a pharmacy tech job this summer into next year, Schnucks is looking to hire someone. See you all tonight!

Just a reminder that our next meeting is TOMORROW, November 3rd in Arts and Science room 203 at 6:00 pm. We will be having a Nuclear pharmacist come visit with us, so like always please be thinking of a few questions for him. I would also like to thank everyone for paying their dues to support the club, we have had great turn outs this semester and it is exciting to see everyone so interested in the field of pharmacy. Shout out to Samantha Lanham for designing the awesome shirts and getting them to us in a timely manner! If you have any other questions please feel free to shoot me and email or text. Good afternoon future pharmacists!

Just a reminder that our next pre-pharmacy meeting is TOMORROW, October 19th at 6:00pm in the Academic Support Center (aka the School of Pharmacy). The building is located just north of the Conley Ave. garage and is right by the School of Engineering. Let me know if you have any questions on how to get there! Our speaker will be Dr. Roger Sommi, the Associate Dean of UMKC's School of Pharmacy. Dr. Sommi is a wonderful resource of the SOP and always leaves the floor open for your questions (come with a few in mind!). I hope to see you all tomorrow.

Just wanted to remind everyone that our next Pre-Pharmacy Club meeting will be tomorrow, October 6th at 6:00pm in Arts and Science Room 203. We will have Sharin Rudder, a retail pharmacist at Gerbes, as our guest speaker. Following her discussion, I will be going through my PharmCAS application with anyone who would like to stay, I will show you what all is on it so you can prepare if you are applying soon or even just curious. Also if you haven't paid your dues yet, we would really appreciate it if you brought it to this meeting. Hope to see everyone tomorrow!

I hope everyone had a wonderful weekend, sorry for the delay in the scheduling, but I now have a complete and finalized schedule for the rest of the semester (at the bottom of post). These were the dates that the speakers were able to come, if someone you wanted to hear wasn't a speaker this semester they might be able to come next semester so everyone has their interests covered! Our next meeting is this Thursday, September 22nd at 6:00 pm. We will meet in Arts and Science Room 203 (same as first meeting) and a student panel of current pharmacy students and ambassadors will be coming in so PLEASE bring questions for them. Anyone who has not paid their $10 dues needs to bring that to this meeting as well. The two service events are also posted on OrgSync so please mark these in your calendar and RSVP; remember to be an officer you must attend at least one of these events.

The Food Bank wasn't available for September 17th. We will still be going to the Food Bank from 1-3:30 pm but the new date is October 8th! The event on OrgSync has been updated and you still need to let us know if you can make it, sorry for any inconvenience.

We had a great turnout at our first meeting, thank you everyone who was able to attend! For those of you who couldn't make it, I'll give you a quick recap. We voted on a t-shirt design and if you would like one, email me with your name, pawprint, and shirt size. They may end up being long sleeve if the price is reasonable. Dues will be $10 so please bring that with you to the next meeting. If you can't make the next meeting bring it to the following one, or we can find a time to meet up. To be an officer you must attend one of the two service events we hold. Our first service will be posted on here shortly, but it will be September 17th from 12-2pm at the Food Pantry if you want to mark your calendars. You will need to let us know if you plan to attend ahead of time. Here is a tentative schedule for the rest of the semester:
