Happy Faith Friday 🤍
As parents, teachers, and caregivers, we often feel the weight of making the right decisions.
But we don’t have to figure it all out on our own.
When we trust in the Lord and acknowledge Him—
He promises to guide our path.
Take a deep breath today…
He’s leading you. 💛

Let Kids Help (Even When It’s Slower)💛
Tip Tuesday:
Let your preschooler help with simple tasks—setting napkins, sorting socks, or pouring ingredients. It builds confidence, responsibility, and patience (for them and us 😉).

🌟 Tip Tuesday 📚
Why We Love Chicken Soup for the Soul at A Good Start Preschool
At AGS, we believe stories help shape little hearts. That’s why we enjoy reading selections from Chicken Soup for the Soul during storytime.
🧡 These stories help children:
• Learn kindness, empathy, and gratitude
• Hear simple lessons about feelings and friendships
• Build listening skills through short, meaningful reads
📖 One of the best parts? There are so many editions—stories for kids, families, bedtime, character-building, and everyday life moments. It’s a wonderful way to introduce positive values in a gentle, age-appropriate way.
✨ Preschool Tip: Reading short, uplifting stories regularly helps children connect emotions to language and understand how their actions affect others.
Because sometimes, a good story really is comfort for the soul—even for little ones. 🤍

🚗 Tip Tuesday: “Stuff You Should Know” Car Game!
Traveling for the holidays? Or just headed home after a busy day?
Try playing one of our favorite preschool games in the car:
Stuff You Should Know!
Ask your child fun (and helpful!) questions like:
✨ What are the primary colors?
✨ What’s your full name?
✨ What are your parents’ names?
✨ What town do you live in?
✨ Who is the President?
For older kiddos:
🏠 Do they know their full address?
📞 Do they know a parent’s phone number?
It’s a simple, fun way to help children learn important information, build memory skills, and spark great conversations during travel time.
And parents—feel free to quiz each other too. 😉
(Anyone up for sports trivia?)
Make learning fun wherever you go! 💛

Today we pause to give thanks for the incredible families who are part of our preschool community.
We are truly blessed by each child who walks through our doors — their laughter, their curiosity, and the joy they bring to our classrooms every day. 💛
To all of our preschoolers and their families:
Thank you for trusting us, partnering with us, and sharing your little ones with our staff.
You are a gift we are grateful for, today and always.
May your day be filled with peace, warm memories, and God’s goodness.

🍂 Tip Tuesday: Thanksgiving Week with Preschoolers 🦃
The holidays are full of excitement (and a little bit of chaos!), so here are a few gentle tips to help make Thanksgiving smoother for your little ones:
✨ Keep familiar routines when you can
Preschoolers thrive on structure — try to keep nap times and meal times close to normal to prevent overwhelm.
✨ Protect their comfort
It’s okay if your child isn’t ready to hug or kiss every friend or family member. Encourage them to wave, smile, or give a high-five instead. Respecting boundaries builds confidence!
✨ Embrace the moments
Let your preschooler help with simple tasks, enjoy the smells and sounds of the day, and soak up time together — even if it gets a little messy.
✨ Find peace in the chaos
Deep breaths. Laughter. Flexibility. Holidays with little ones may look different, but they’re overflowing with sweetness.
✨ Capture memories
Take photos and videos — the little moments become the ones you treasure most. And seeing them pop up in your phone memories a year later is priceless. 💛
Wishing you joy, calm, and lots of giggles this Thanksgiving week!

🌟 Faith Friday: Taste & See God’s Goodness
💛 “Taste and see that the Lord is good; blessed is the one who takes refuge in Him.” — Psalm 34:8 (NIV)
As we get closer to Thanksgiving, our preschoolers are thinking about all the yummy foods they’ll enjoy — turkey, rolls, mashed potatoes, pies, and more! 🥧🍗
This week, we’re reminding our children that just like we can taste good food, we can also see and experience how good God is.
We talked about:
✨ Thanking God for the food we have
✨ Thanking Him for the people who help prepare our meals
✨ Noticing all the ways God takes care of us each day
When we slow down, give thanks, and look around, we can “taste and see” God’s goodness everywhere. 💛

📚 Tip Tuesday: Try a “Picture Walk!”
Before reading a story, take a picture walk with your child!
Flip through the pages together and look only at the illustrations. Ask questions like:
✨ “What do you think is happening here?”
✨ “What do you think this story might be about?”
✨ “Who do you think the characters are?”
This simple strategy builds:
💬 Language skills
🧠 Prediction & comprehension
👀 Attention to detail
❤️ A love for reading
Plus—it makes storytime even more fun and interactive!
