I have been hesitant to share this because I wasn’t sure what the response would be. However, as someone who values honesty, strong communication, and transparency, I feel it’s important to be open about where things stand.
Over the past several months, I have seen a significant decline in interest and communication regarding my childcare services. As difficult as it is to say, the future of Brandon Dean’s Childcare has become uncertain, and the possibility of closing is becoming more real.
Over the years, I have invested countless hours, energy, and resources into supporting our community. I’ve sponsored school events, supported PTAs and local nonprofits, and donated hundreds of complimentary childcare hours to raffles, auctions, and fundraisers. I’ve also offered giveaways, contests, and complimentary care opportunities through social media. While I have been grateful to support these organizations and families, these efforts have unfortunately resulted in very little engagement or business growth.
One of the core values of Brandon Dean’s Childcare has always been strong communication and positive relationships. I believe trust is built through honesty, respect, and open communication. Whether working with current families or prospective clients, I have always made it a priority to be responsive, dependable, and accessible.
Unfortunately, I have experienced many situations where families express interest, schedule meet-and-greets, discuss future childcare needs, and then stop responding altogether. I completely understand that plans change and families may choose other options, but a simple message or update goes a long way. The same level of communication and courtesy that I strive to provide is something I deeply value in return.
Running a small business takes more than passion—it requires support, communication, referrals, and community engagement. While this post is not meant to place blame on anyone, it is meant to honestly share the challenges I am facing.
To the families who have trusted me with their children, supported my business, referred friends, and encouraged me along the way: thank you. Your support has meant more than words can express, and I am incredibly grateful for every child and family I have had the privilege to work with.
No final decisions have been made at this time, but I wanted to be transparent about the reality of the situation. Thank you for being part of this journey. Regardless of what the future holds, I will always be proud of the positive impact Brandon Dean’s Childcare has had on the children and families I have been fortunate enough to serve.
If you have worked with me, supported my business, or would be willing to share my services with others, I would sincerely appreciate it. Every referral, recommendation, and conversation makes a difference.

At Brandon Dean’s Childcare, I’m proud to provide a childcare experience that not only supports children and families, but also helps break outdated stereotypes about who can be a nurturing, trusted caregiver. Male caregivers are still underrepresented in childcare, yet children benefit greatly from seeing positive, caring men in supportive roles. Having a male sitter can help teach kids that kindness, patience, leadership, and emotional support are qualities everyone can have—not just women. It also gives children a broader perspective on respect, equality, and healthy role models from an early age.
Families appreciate the high-energy, hands-on approach I bring to childcare through outdoor play, creative activities, sports, games, and meaningful engagement that keeps kids active, learning, and having fun. Beyond the activities, I focus on building genuine connections, creating a safe environment where children feel supported, encouraged, and confident being themselves. Personalized in-home care also allows children to stay comfortable in their own space while receiving dependable one-on-one attention tailored to their needs.
Breaking barriers in childcare matters because representation matters. Children deserve to grow up seeing that caregiving, compassion, and responsibility are strengths that belong to everyone. If you’re looking for a sitter who brings positive male representation, reliability, energy, and a lot of heart, I’d love to connect with your family.
