Congratulations to all of our studio trombonists who performed recitals this semester! Between banjo features, original compositions, swingin' jazz, and classical grandeur, it’s been a musically rich and rewarding term for the trombone studio. Our final recital will be a senior performance by Wills Kane on April 13 at 7:30 PM, and we hope to see you there!

Huge congratulations to our Left Bank Big Band trombonists on their outstanding performances at the Second Annual Essentially Ellington Regional this past weekend!

The band presented two fantastic concerts featuring special guest artists Jon Faddis and Vincent Gardner. We’re also proud to share that our very own professor, Michael Wilkinson and Director of Jazz Studies, Matt White had the opportunity to perform alongside these phenomenal musicians during the festival. It was an incredible weekend of music, mentorship, and inspiration!

Congratulations to our Wind Ensemble, Symphonic Winds, and Left Bank trombonists for their amazing performances this past weekend at the USC Band Clinic! Now, onto our recital extravaganza, with the first being Aidan Duncan's performance next Wednesday, February 25 at 6:00pm. We'll catch you there!

This past weekend, the 2026 USC Band Clinic event was held, which allows many talented high school band students to participate in a weekend of music-making and learning. We had the esteemed privilege of coaching the Honors Trombone Quartet, which performed on Saturday evening. We loved making music with you all, and we look forward to crossing paths again!

Our last trombone recital to introduce is Wills Kane, who is pursuing a BM in Trombone Performance. A fun fact about Wills is that he taught ballroom dancing throughout middle and high school. His live performance is April 13, at 7:30pm. We can't wait to see you there!

The next trombone recital is Will Castellow, who is pursuing a BM in Music Composition and a Performance Certificate! A fun fact about Will is that he practices Wilderness Survival. His performance is April 1, at 6:00pm. We look forward to you joining us!

Our next recital is Cameron Duncan, who is a second year MM in Trombone Performance! A fun fact about Cameron is that he is an Eagle Scout. You can enjoy his recital on March 19, at 7:30pm. We hope to see you there!
