The members of KA teamed up with the ladies of Alpha Chi Omega to raise money for True North of Columbia - a service that empowers those who have been battered or abused by an intimate partner, enabling them to begin the healing process and work towards regaining control of their lives again.

Happy Founder's Day! 155 Years Strong KA
Happy ! On that cold December evening 155 years ago, young James Ward Wood gives a toast to the “two Williams” [William Nelson Scott William Archibald Walsh] in Walsh's room, identified below, and with that simple act the idea for Kappa Alpha Order was born. Shortly after, Stanhope McClelland Scott would enroll, our name would be changed from Phi Kappa Chi to Kappa Alpha, and the first badges would be issued. Thus is the brief story of our creation. Raise a glass today in honor of our founding.

The Gentlemen of KA at Mizzou are focusing on a VERY important Spring Rush coming up! The picture below includes contact information for the new chapter president (Number I) and the new Recruitment Chair (Number IV). We are asking alumni and supporters to reach out to their social groups (neighbors, community leaders, associates) to see if they know a young man at Mizzou who is looking to develop leadership skills along with becoming more connected to campus.
If you would like to recommend a young man for membership in KA at Mizzou, follow this link - https://www.kappaalphaorder.org/connect/recommend/

We were sadden to hear about the passing of our KA brother, Steven R. Loftus. Steven was a proud KA and a long time supporter of the chapter. With the new KA chapter re-starting at Mizzou, Steven was thrilled to support the chapter and assist any way he could to ensure great success at Mizzou. Steven's legacy will never be forgotten.
The KA chapter at Mizzou plans to do a few things to remember Steven's legacy. First, with the re-start of the new KA chapter, we plan on recognizing the legacy of Steven R. Loftus at every ceremony. Second, we plan on dedicating a part of the house/property in Steven's name. Finally, the members of the chapter will name an in-house chapter award after Steven.
Please contact our page if you would like to share an idea on how to remember the life and legacy of Steven R. Loftus.
Rest in Peace Brother!

Statement from Knight Commander C. Douglas Simmons III
Kappa Alpha Order stands with all members. Any act of racism is abhorrent and betrays everything for which Kappa Alpha Order stands. Frustration, anger, and grief weigh heavily on our nation, but our faith will help us find a way forward. Our values of reverence, gentility, knowledge, leadership, brotherhood, and excellence teach us that as KAs we must strive to be better, to make our communities better, and to be part of the solution. - Message from Knight Commander C. Douglas Simmons III
