‘I wish I would have started sooner; I feel bad about not trying new things’⁣

I was so caught up with my day job as a Dermatology Nurse that I forgot to live and dream of a better life.⁣
⁣
Before, I used to drag myself to an 8 to 5 job with limited time off. What I hated the most was I could only pick whether I spent Christmas OR New Year with my family. I got limited time with my family and It felt like someone else was in control of my time.⁣
⁣
But I am grateful for one thing: through my career, I was able to see firsthand a well-designed 3D ar**la that had helped bring back the confidence of one of our breast cancer patients. I won’t forget that day and the happiness that was in her eyes. At that moment, a new goal was formed!⁣
⁣
It became my passion to help women feel confident, beautiful, and happy. That’s when I came across Permanent Makeup and took a risk. With the guidance of renowned dermatologist Gloria F. Graham, MD, and with persistence, I learned much about different fields in the beauty industry. Little did I know my life changed forever.⁣
⁣
I was able to turn this burning desire of mine of helping others into a service where I can earn a living. I quit my job and now with many years in this field, I am able to earn so much more tyan I had thought. I can say honestly that Time is the biggest benefit of it all. I can work my own hours and spend time with my family. I finally got my life back!

‘I always feel like my paycheck is not enough, I feel like I’m living Paycheck to Paycheck’

I completely understand how you feel, the feeling of not having enough. It’s hard, especially with rising interest rates and absurd inflation increases.

I worked in medical offices for many years. Once the next year's calendar was made available, all of the nurses would have to submit requests for vacation days, and we could not have the same days off. That meant only one of us had Christmas or July 4th. It meant that Summers with our children weren't possible. For me, the freedom of being my own boss is worth the extra hustle to establish myself in the PMU industry.

But there’s always a way to earn more and do something to express your passion and creativity while making a living. You just need that one chance or one idea.

For me, I found it in doing Permanent Makeup. Once I got to experience it first hand, I become so passionate about it and helping other people be more confident in their own skin, especially those who survived breast cancer. It became more of a purpose to me.
