I had to ask Only Son to fill out his planner on Christmas day, the morning and truth required it! I was hoping he could slide on this holiday but both he and I got the wrath of mom for breaking rhythm. I hate it when she's right. Of course, the 30 minutes of post gift-opening chores took 3x longer than they should have.

The progression of our ADHD'ers planning skills
12/09/2016
A couple of days ago I listened to a broadcast on Focus on the Family with the authors of the parenting book "Gist". Dr. Timothy Johanson and Michael Anderson. One of the takeaways was to keep a list of all the things you want to teach your child before they launch into adulthood. The caveat is to only focus on two at a time. In a house full of ADHD people, that helps keep it simple. The two lessons we are continuing to focus on with our 14-year-old is 1) using his planner every day to plan and track his life, and 2) turning in his homework when it's due.
Here is today's planner filled out yesterday! History and Math finals today. Father's fingers crossed. I'll post the days leading up to today. It's not been easy but it is progress!
