We’re so excited to meet our future Kits next Thursday at Kinder Connect!
Calling all incoming Kindergarten families! 🎉
We’re excited to welcome new Kits to the Legacy Peak community! Join us for Kinder Connect on Thursday, May 28 from 4:00–5:30pm at Legacy Peak Elementary.
We’ll kick things off with an information session from LPE Administration, followed by a playground playdate with snacks hosted by the PTA.
It’s a great chance for kids and families to meet new friends and start building connections before the school year begins.
✅ Please RSVP so we can plan for snacks and drinks (link in the comments).

🎉 That’s a wrap on another amazing school year at Legacy Peak Elementary! 🎉

📚 Book Exchange at LPE! ☀️
LPE families,
We have a Book Exchange set up in the main hallway! Students are invited to bring in gently used books they’ve already enjoyed and trade them for “new-to-them” books to read this summer.
Please help your child look through their bookshelves and pick out books they’re ready to share. Then send them in next week for the exchange!
Our goal is to encourage students to keep reading over the summer, helping slow the “summer slide” while continuing to grow curiosity, creativity, and imagination. Thank you for partnering with us to support a love of reading!
📖 Easy Ways to Keep Kids Reading This Summer:
• Set aside 15–30 minutes each day for reading
• Read aloud together as a family
• Visit PPLD for books, story times, and summer programs
• Swap books with friends or siblings
• Let kids choose topics they love—comics, sports, animals, and more
• Use simple reading rewards or charts
• Listen to audiobooks in the car or at home
• Connect reading to everyday activities like cooking or traveling
• Ask your child to share something interesting they learned from a book
• Encourage all kinds of reading—books, recipes, articles, maps, and instructions
Thank you again for supporting our young readers! ❤️

What a morning! 🎉 Our 3rd grade students hosted Market Day on the field to wrap up their PBL unit, answering the driving question: “How can I, as an entrepreneur, show my understanding of economics to create a profitable product in our classroom economy?” Students ran booths, sold products, and put real-world learning into practice. Second graders enjoyed shopping and got a sneak peek at what they’ll do next year. Amazing work, 3rd grade — proud of your creativity and teamwork! 🙌

✨ Our first graders lit up last night at Starry Night—sharing projects with family, peeking into space with VR goggles, and gazing at the heavens in Challenger Learning Center’s planetarium and with the COS Astronomical Society. Little learners, big dreams. 🌟👩🚀🔭 What made you smile most?
