Ahhh Valentine’s Day. It’s a great time to celebrate, however we can give valentines to each other or ourselves 365 days a year -selfish? Noooooo. Because if we start with love for self, then we can share that same love for each other-no matter gender, race , religion or culture. Love is more powerful than hate and division, but it starts from within. Felt and expansive. love

As we continue to navigate Valentine’s Day-the world has made us think our value is tied to whether or not we have someone besides ourself to give love or receive love based off of valentines. This can begin from a young age. Whether you have a significant other or not-and what does that mean? How do we interpret that? If you love to give them to others, great-you can find joy in expressing that-but do t stress if you don’t have the $ or means to buy something to express that love. Or are you tied to receiving something-and that determines your value or if you are lovable? Let me know by completing the poll. Everyone is witty if love-even if it means giving it to yourself!

Have you ever expressed love to those who help change your life? Or just were there for you during the hard times in your life. We never know how our presence and love and just care affect those around us. Take a moment to write those people a little love letter/valentine and reach out to them to express it. Could be a significant other, a good friend, a co worker or even your pet. Love has no boundaries!!

Self love is the foundation. Society tells us that self love and care can be selfish, and that we should only give it away-but then we are seeking for something outside of ourselves to feel validated. If you don’t give yourself love and compassion during your human journey, then you won’t know how to give it to others to help uplift them, or see them as equal, not separate. love

Every year they light the giant star that sits on the rock that looks like a castle the weekend before thanksgiving this why the city name-Castle Rock. It stays lit until Christmas and the end of year. I have a great view of it every night from where I live. What part of you shines bright like this star for everyone to see? lighting
