Pre-Collegiate motivates and prepares first-generation and military-dependent students for college.
Through partnerships with select school districts, PCDP at UCCS offers concurrent enrollment courses through one of five (5) career pathways: Business, Education, Engineering, Health Professions, or Human Services. Students are supported with student success workshops, leadership development, and the Summer Academic Institute. In this program, students will have the opportunity to earn up to 30 college credits.

Forward Steps Guardian Scholars Program
The Guardian Scholars Program supports current and former foster youth in Colorado by providing financial aid, one-on-one mentoring, and personalized guidance to help students pursue and complete their postsecondary education. Eligible scholars receive up to $3,000 in financial support, mentorship, career coaching, and opportunities for community involvement and personal growth. Applications are accepted year-round, with priority deadlines on May 31 for the fall semester and October 31 for spring.
The Albert Gonzales Scholarship is now open for applications and is a great opportunity for El Paso County students who are passionate about giving back to their communities.
This scholarship honors the legacy of Albert Gonzales, a dedicated community volunteer who made a lasting impact through his work with Sacred Heart Parish, Habitat for Humanity, and the American GI Forum. His family continues his legacy by supporting students who value service and education.
To be eligible, applicants must be residents of El Paso County and have a GPA of 2.5 or higher. High school seniors and students planning to attend a trade school, 2-year college, or 4-year university in Fall 2025 are encouraged to apply.
Applicants must submit a completed application, a 250-word essay about the importance of volunteering, a letter of recommendation, a letter of acceptance, and a transcript. All materials must be submitted as one PDF document to [email protected] by June 6, 2025.
The scholarship will be awarded during the Albert Gonzales Classic on June 20, 2025.
